In an unusual move, the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra has announced that audience members who feel nothing during one of its concerts will be entitled to a full refund. The offer (a “feel more guarantee”) applies to every TSO concert in 2025. While most other orchestras and ensembles adhere to what is essentially a no-refunds policy (unless an event is cancelled, rescheduled or significantly relocated), TSO is going out on a limb. All an emotionally unmoved customer has to do is “simply explain the reasons why you genuinely didn’t feel anything to our passionate, understanding team.”

Australian gems include the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra teaming up with British conductor, composer and violist Robert Ames for a symphony of abstract waterscapes; a William Barton, Lisa Gerrard and Cye Wood debut (Borderlands); and an outing for the legendary post-punk outfit Crime & the City Solution.
