The winners of the 2023 IMPACT Awards have been announced at a ceremony on 30 August hosted in Cairns at Tanks Arts Centre. Recognising the achievements, innovation and social impact of Australian performing arts leaders and organisations, the announcement took place as part of PAC Australia’s Australian Performing Arts Exchange, an annual professional development assembly for arts professionals.

The Awards’ highest honour, the Wendy Blacklock Industry Legend Award, was awarded to Restless Dance Theatre. Over more than 30 years, the company has pioneered in the creation of contemporary dance works artists with and without disability. Led by Michelle Ryan, Restless is acknowledged for both the excellence of its productions and its efforts in facilitating diversity in the Australian creative landscape.
