The 2024 ARIA Award nominees have been announced today, Thursday 26 September.
In the classical and art music categories, the multi-ARIA winning Australian Chamber Orchestra is again up for consideration, this time for Best Classical Album for its Beethoven Symphonies 1, 2 & 3, released on ABC Classics.
Contesting the same award are the Grigoryan Brothers for Amistad – Music for Two Guitars (Decca Australia), Orava Quartet for Orawa (Deutsche Grammophon Australia), Sophie Hutchings for A World Outside (Mercury KX/UMA) and Véronique Serret for Migrating Bird (Migrating Bird Records/The Planet Company).

The nominees for this year’s Best Jazz Album are: Audrey Powne (From the Fire); Elixir (A Small Shy Truth), Mildlife (Chorus), Tourismo (Torque) and the Vanessa Perica Orchestra for The Eye is the First Circle.
Contesting the award for Best Original Soundtrack or Musical Theatre Cast Album are: Ack Kinmonth (for Scarygirl); Harlow (This is HARLOW; Music from Paperdolls); Helena Czajka (Nemesis – Original Series Soundtrack) and the various artists album Faraway Downs.
