The nominees for the 2024 Music Victoria Awards have been announced, celebrating the contribution of Victorian-based artists across a variety of genres and practices.
This year, artists working across art music, contemporary classical, jazz and sound art are amongst recognised for their artistry. Voting is open to the public until 1 October and the winners of each category will be announced at a ceremony on 24 October.

“Every year I’m excited about the Music Victoria Awards. This is one of my favourite parts of the job. 2024 has been our biggest year of nominations and it’s been a tough choice for the judging panels,” said CEO Simone Schinkel.
For the Best Musician category, this year’s nominees are saxophonist and composer Cheryl Durongpisitkul, flautist and composer Erica Tucceri, drummer Hudson Whitlock, singer/songwriter Lewis Coleman and drummer/percussionist Lucky Pereira.
In the Best Producer Category, composer and engineer Bonnie Knight and guitarist/producer Theo Carbo are among this year’s nominees.
