The Australian music industry’s most diverse voices will share the spotlight at the 2025 ARIA Awards, with leading nominations spanning from classical and jazz innovators to global electronic superstars.

In the Best Classical Album field, pianist Andrea Lam (Piano Diary), the Australian Chamber Orchestra under Richard Tognetti (Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich), composer-pianist Nat Bartsch (Forever Changed), the Sydney Symphony Orchestra (Mahler: Symphony No. 2; Barton: Of The Earth), and pianist-composer Sophie Hutchings (Become The Sky) make up a category reflecting the current strength and diversity of Australian artistry.

The Best Jazz Album nominees showcase a new generation alongside established names: the Evans Robson Quartet (Zenith), trumpeter Lachlan McKenzie (Departures), bassist-composer Lucy Clifford (Between Spaces of Knowing), experimental collective TL;DR & Peter Knight (Too Long; Didn’t Read) and producer Touch Sensitive (In Paradise).
