The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) has announced the recpients of the 2026 AACTA Awards for industry, as announced at its Industry Gala hosted on 4 February.

Best Original Score in Film was won by Cornel Wilczek for Bring Her Back. Directed by Danny and Michael Philippou, the supernatural folk horror flick from the A24 studio follows two orphaned step-siblings put under the care of a foster mother who draws them into her obsession with the occult. It is Wilczek’s third AACTA Award win.
Adelaide-born and Melbourne-based, Wilczek has scored 16 feature films and 17 television shows. In October, he also earned two Screen Music Awards for his work on shows Fake and The Survivors.
Jed Kurzel was awarded Best Original Score in Television for The Narrow Road to the Deep North, a dramatic adaption of the novel by Richard Flangan starring Jacob Elordi. Directed by the composer’s brother, Justin Kurzel, the film tracks a man both before, during and after his deployment in WWII.
