Queensland Theatre Company has raised the curtain on its 2026 season – eight productions promising to put emotion, humanity and bold storytelling centre stage.
Described as “All Feeling. No Filter”, the 2026 program includes world and Queensland premieres, landmark collaborations and reimagined classics, reflecting Artistic Director Daniel Evans’s vision for theatre that “crackles with a deep humanity and raw emotion”.
“This is a season that takes bold risks,” said Evans of his first programmed season after taking the reins of the company in November 2024. “Theatre reminds us that feeling deeply is an act of courage, and gathering in a room to feel something together matters, now more than ever.”
The announcement also sees the state’s flagship company reaffirm its full title – Queensland Theatre Company – to recognise the community of artists and supporters behind it.
