Ahead of its 2024 season reveal, Sydney Theatre Company has announced that its 2022 production of Australian playwright Suzie Miller’s RGB: Of Many, One, starring Heather Mitchell, will be revived for an encore season at the Sydney Opera House in February 2024 before touring to Canberra Theatre Centre, Arts Centre Melbourne and QPAC Brisbane, before returning to Sydney for a run of performances at Riverside Theatre Parramatta.

Directed by Priscilla Jackman, Miller’s celebration of the life and career of the late US Supreme Court judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a stand-out production in the STC’s 2022 season.

Mitchell’s portrayal of the opera loving, liberal-leaning advocate for equality who served on the Supreme Court under three presidents was widely praised, not least by Limelight critic Deborah Jones, who described Mitchell’s performance as “magnificent from start to finish”. On opening night, Jones wrote, “the cheering audience rose immediately as one. It’s a sight, one suspects, Mitchell will have to get used to during the entire run.”
