SeasonPreview: Your guide to the arts in 2025

The Australian String Quartet (ASQ) has announced its 2025 season, marking the ensemble’s 40th anniversary. To celebrate the occasion, it’s giving its audience a present.

This year, the quartet is making the content on its On Demand platform – including live performances, interviews and behind the scenes footage – free to view. ASQ is also restructuring its ticketing system somewhat, offering $40 tickets for those under 40 (replacing the previous $35 for under 35 model).

“A string quartet is a living, breathing work of art. Sculpted by time, dedication, and passion, it is more than any one person’s legacy — it is an idea that inspires us and tantalises all. It is a place for passion, exploration, and generosity of the human spirit. The aspiration for a shared, artistically rich future, has fuelled the ASQ since 1985. Now, as we enter our 40th year, that journey proudly continues,” said the ASQ.
