Season Preview: Your guide to the arts in 2026

The Australian String Quartet (ASQ) will return to South Australia’s Barossa Valley in September 2026 with a three-day celebration of chamber music, food and wine, following the success of the festival’s inaugural edition in 2024.

The 2026 Barossa Weekend of Music, running from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September, brings together world-class string quartet performance and genre-crossing collaborations across a series of intimate venues in Angaston, Tanunda, Seppeltsfield and Nuriootpa.

Central to the program is a collaboration between the ASQ and award-winning Punjabi-Australian vocalist Parvyn Kaur Singh, joined by multi-instrumentalist Josh Bennett. Together they will present a program that pairs core chamber repertoire with new works blending classical Indian raga traditions with contemporary soul, jazz and pop.
