Kamilaroi, Barkindji, Ballardong and Whadjuk woman Bianca Hunt has been named the 2026 Balnaves Foundation Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Fellow. She will work at Belvoir for a two-year period creating a new work for the stage.

A television presenter, media personality, interviewer and author, Hunt has built a wide-ranging career across sport, travel, fashion and music journalism. Her television credits include SBS’s Going Places with Ernie Dingo, Coles Healthy Kicks and Yokayi Footy, as well as an appearance on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!.
She has also fronted major brand campaigns for Bonds, LinkedIn and Intrepid Travel.
Hunt is widely recognised for her commitment to amplifying First Nations voices and supporting women in media. She is an ambassador for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation and Wyanga Elders, and has consistently used her platform to tell stories from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
