Online public voting opens today giving South Australians the chance to choose an artist whose name will be set in stone in the new star-studded walkway, which is expected to become a tourist attraction in Adelaide’s revitalised Riverbank precinct when it opens in early 2018.

The walkway is part of the $90 million redevelopment project that commenced in 2016. Initially it will include more than 130 names of some of the greatest artists to have graced the stages of the Adelaide Festival Centre (AFC) since it opened its doors in 1973, three months before the Sydney Opera House.
Three stars will be added to the Walk of Fame each year – one chosen by the public, one by the AFC and one by a panel of critics, who wil focus specifically on Australian artists.
