The Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) has announced its 50th anniversary season, one designed to honour the ensemble’s past while embracing the future of music performance.

“Coming off the back of COVID, last year (Season 2023) was pretty good, and this year has been a really strong,” said ACO’s Artistic Director Richard Tognetti. “People are really embracing the eclectic concerts we’ve programmed. But just because people are into what we do doesn’t mean we can rest on our laurels. 2025 is about celebration, but it’s also about innovation.”
To that end, ACO’s 2025 season will feature five world premieres, special ACO commissions from renowned composers Nigel Westlake, Holly Harrison, Valentin Silvestrov and David Lang and a new work by the electrifying violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja – AKA PatKop.
