Creative Australia has announced the recipients of its latest round of investment, providing funding for arts projects, the Contemporary Music Touring Program and Contemporary Touring Initiative. Approximately 380 projects will receive support from a pool of $16.4 million.

Twenty-three tours have been supported under the Contemporary Music Touring Program. Among them are Tura New Music and a double bill with Jindahood and Emma Donovan

The Archie Roach Foundation has received funding for its Singing Our Futures mentoring program, offering support for First Nations songwriters.

The round of funding will spur the creation of several new works, including a dance work from Launceston-based Stompin Youth Dance Company centring on the creative input of young people in regional Australia, and a collaborative theatrical work between Just Us Ensemble (JUTE) and Overall Arts Youth Theatre Company, both based in Far North Queensland.

The initiative also funds the Women in Music Tech Summit, offering free workshops for women in music production and mixing. According to a 2023 report released by Dr Felicity Wilcox and Barrie Shannon
