APRA AMCOS and the Australian Music Centre have announced the finalists of the 2024 Art Music Awards. The winners will be revealed at a ceremony on 14 August at Malthouse Theatre, Melbourne, hosted by Stéphanie Kabanyana Kanyandekwe with Miranda Hill and Benjamin Northey. Sia Ahmad, a recipient of a 2022 Award, serves as this year’s music curator.
The Journey Down, a multimedia work from Mark Atkins, Andrew Daylight, Aviva Endean, Chris Griffiths, Preben Ningarmarra, Tristen Parr and Vanessa Tomlinson is a top candidate in this year’s Awards, having received nominations in three seperate categories. The Awards also see a series of first-time finalists in Helen Svoboda, John Rotar, Jack Frerer and Yunyu Ong.
