The London-based Australian-British – and recently controversial – pianist Jayson Gilham has announced he will be joining the staff of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland as Lecturer in Keyboard.

“There is nothing more rewarding and inspiring than working with the next generation of talented young musicians,” said Gilham in a social media post.
Established in 1847 to “provide a source of mental cultivation, moral improvement and delightful recreation to all classes,” the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is an interdisciplinary institution teaching music, musical theatre and drama and is consistently ranked within the world’s top 10 performing arts institutions. Its alumni include opera director Sir David McVicar, guitarist Sean Shibe (soon to tour Australia), actor and cabaret star Alan Cumming, actor David Tennant and Canberra Symphony Orchestra Chief Conductor Jessica Cottis.
