In 2023, Griffin Theatre Company will present its final season in the SBW Stables Theatre, before it undergoes major renovation, thanks to the largest donation in the company’s history from the Neilson Foundation, on top of $5 million in funding from the NSW Government.
The season includes three world premieres, including the latest play from the seemingly unstoppable Suzie Miller (Prima Facie), as well as a Sydney premiere.

Speaking to Limelight, Artistic Director Declan Greene says: “For years before I took over Griffin as Artistic Director, I would to visit its auditorium as an audience member. My favourite thing about experiencing this beautiful, intimate heritage theatre was the sense of anticipation walking through the barn doors, ascending the stairs, and finding myself entering a totally different world.”
