SeasonPreview: Your guide to the arts in 2025

Artistic Director and CEO Lyndon Terracini AM has unveiled his eagerly awaited passion project, the inaugural Handa Opera at Millthorpe, which will be held over the Easter long weekend next April.

The three-day program features a mix of concerts, recitals, in conversations and open rehearsals, all of which will be held at Millthorpe Hall in the historic heart of the NSW Central West town.

Headlining the festival are soprano Natalie Aroyan, who wowed audiences and critics with her performances as Rachel in La Juive, Odabella in Attila and the title roles in Adriana Lecouvreur and Aida, all for Opera Australia; and Italian baritone Giorgio Caoduro, who sang alongside Aroyan as Michonnet in Adriana Lecouvreur and was last seen in Australia as the Duke of Nottingham in OA’s Roberto Devereux in Concert.

Set amid sweeping country vistas, award-winning wineries and gourmet dining establishments, the festival is a dream come true for Terracini, who moved near Millthorpe just over four years ago with his wife, opera singer Noëmi Nadelmann.
