This month’s cover star is unlike any we’ve ever featured before – one of a wonderful gallery of characters created by Oscar-winner Adam Elliot for his new animated feature film Memoir of a Snail.

A bittersweet memoir of a melancholic woman called Grace, who is a hoarder of snails, romance novels and guinea pigs, the movie comes to the big screen this month with a score by composer Elena Kats-Chernin, who describes the project to writer Steve Dow as “a dream come true”.
We all know the story of Peter Pan. JM Barrie’s free spirit has been a staple of bedtime stories, pantomimes and film for more than a century. But how did Peter become the mercurial “betwixt and between” figure? And what made him decide to never grow up?
