Musica Viva Australia (MVA) has announced its 2026 Education program, celebrating a milestone 45 years of bringing music into classrooms across the country.
In 2026, MVA’s In Schools program features 14 shows – two brand-new touring programs and a host of returning favourites.

“We’re genuinely committed to our vision – which is one that ensures a music-rich future for all Australians,” MVA’s Education Director Cassandra Lake told Limelight in June.
“That means more than teaching kids to play music; it also means enhancing children’s appreciation of music and boosting their all round creativity.”
The first new offering from MVA is On the Wireless, a tribute to the golden age of radio which offers students the opportunity to develop their own podcast episode or live classroom show with saxophones, violin and guitar.
