Ensemble Q has announced an ambitious 2026 season designed to expand the chamber ensemble’s national profile and cement its Brisbane base, with new touring programs, significant premieres and a major multidisciplinary commission.
The season marks what the group calls a “defining step” in its evolution as it moves beyond a venue-based identity towards a nationwide presence.
Central to that shift is phase one of a new national touring program, taking EQ to major venues in Sydney and Melbourne as well as an extensive regional circuit.

In Brisbane, EQ will continue and build on its popular Sundays by the Lake series with a four-concert mainstage program at the GHD Auditorium at the University of Queensland, which is admired by audiences for its intimacy and acoustic clarity. The series commences with a concert devoted to the Mendelssohn siblings on 8 March.
