A new chamber music company has been founded in Brisbane by oboist and Artistic Director Tania Frazer

Collectivo is dedicated to the presentation of “world-class soloists in dynamic and innovative performances” across classical and contemporary genres. Rather than relying on a fixed ensemble, the company will function as a collective, drawing from a pool of national and international talent.

With an emphasis on engaging performers from Australia and New Zealand, Collectivo will embark on a new “cross-Tasman initiative that has never been done before in the arts”, according to a statement released by Collectivo.

“Every concert by Collectivo is a one-off opportunity to witness the pinnacle of musical artistry,” added Frazer.

“Our vision is to create extraordinary performances that captivate and inspire Queensland audiences, presenting repertoire that spans the classical and contemporary, performed by soloists at the top of their game. Each event is meticulously curated to highlight the exceptional talents of our artists, ensuring that no two performances are ever the same.”
