Pinchgut Opera has announced a major expansion of its acclaimed digital platform Pinchgut at Home, making its entire collection of operas and concerts free to stream worldwide.
From today, Monday 10 November, audiences can access the company’s online library (13 titles) without subscription or payment, removing barriers to one of Australia’s leading sources of Baroque performance. The move, says Co-Executive Director Ilona Brooks, reflects Pinchgut’s long-term commitment to access and legacy.
“We want these remarkable performances to live beyond the stage,” Brooks said. “Making them freely available means they can continue to inspire audiences and future artists everywhere.”

To celebrate the relaunch, Pinchgut At Home premieres a new film of J. S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations, performed by Artistic Director Erin Helyard. Filmed and recorded in the sculptural surrounds of architect William Smart’s Sydney home, the production pairs Bach’s meditative masterpiece with a setting of luminous curves and light that mirrors its structure and serenity.
