The veteran singer-songwriter’s greatest hits have been reimagined for symphonic arrangement, and will be conducted by Steven Mercurio throughout the Australia/New Zealand tour. For his Melbourne, Perth and Barossa Valley performances Sting will be joined by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. The Sydney Symphony takes over for the concerts in Sydney, Brisbane and the Hunter Valley, with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra performing in Christchurch and Napier.

You can expect to hear hits from Sting’s days with The Police: Every Little Thing She Does is Magic, Roxanne, Next to You and Every Breath You Take, etc. There’s also a selection of notable songs from his successful solo career, including fan favourites such as Englishman in New York, Fragile, Russians, If I Ever Lose My Faith in You and Desert Rose.

The Symphonicity tour begins in Perth on January 22, and visits Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney the Hunter Valley and Brisbane before crossing the Tasman for concerts in Christchurch and Napier mid-February. For full details go to www.sting.com.
