Sydney Youth Orchestras (SYO) is gearing up to present the 2024 iteration of its annual Big Busk, an event set to take the city by storm this Saturday, 28 September.

Unleashing over 600 young musicians across the Sydney CBD and Parramatta, this year marks the first time that the SYO’s largest fundraising endeavour has been presented on a weekend rather than a weekday, allowing for more Sydneysiders to engage with the “celebration of music, community, and the incredible talent nurtured within SYO”.

In 2024, musicians from 15 different orchestras, chamber ensembles and string trios will perform over 16 hours of music, spanning from pop to classical. Performances are scheduled for the Pitt Street and Dixon Street malls, the Queen Victoria Building, Market City and Parramatta Centenary Square. Performances from Haymarket Creative are set to be livestreamed throughout the day.
