With returning classics, two world premieres, an Australian debut and the 10-year anniversary of a beloved gem, The Australian Ballet has revealed its 2025 season, one that Artistic Director David Hallberg says aims to “move you beyond words”.

“I wanted our 2025 season to show our audiences the power of storytelling and the beauty of movement. These curated programs demonstrate some of the greatest ballets, balanced by our continued commitment to create new work,” said Hallberg.
“I am immensely proud to present Season 2025, which will guide audiences through the intimate and profound emotional expression seen on stage.”
John Neumeier’s biographical ballet Nijinsky opens the season in Melbourne (21 February–1 March) and Sydney (4–22 April). It’s a ballet that “defies categorisation,” said Hallberg.
