British composer and producer Anne Dudley has been inducted as a Fellow of The Ivors Academy at this year’s Ivors Classical Awards, joining a select group that includes Elton John, Kate Bush and John Adams.

Dudley, a founding member of 1980s electronic pioneers Art of Noise and Oscar-winner for The Full Monty, became the 33rd Fellow of the Academy — its highest honour — recognising a career that has bridged pop, film and classical music. Her work is familiar to Australian audiences through scores for Poldark, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and The Full Monty, for which she won both an Academy Award and a BRIT Award.

The ceremony also paid tribute to two other prominent figures in British music.
