West Australian Ballet has unveiled a 2026 program that blends new works and audience favourites. An Australian premiere centrepiece will be announced later, on 8 October.
The season, titled Of Here. From Then., marks the first curated by recently appointed Artistic Director Leanne Stojmenov. She said the program honours the company’s history while signalling its direction under new leadership.

“Season 2026 celebrates some of our most loved works from West Australian Ballet’s history, while opening the stage to bold new creations,” Stojmenov said. “This season reflects who we are — a company proud of its past, ambitious for its future, and deeply connected to our audiences.”
The year begins in February with Incandescence: Ballet at the Quarry, a staple of Perth’s summer cultural calendar. Four world premieres will be staged at the open-air Quarry Amphitheatre: new creations from acclaimed choreographers Tim Harbour and Ihsan Rustem, alongside first mainstage works by West Australian Ballet dancers Chihiro Nomura and Polly Hilton.
