Australian Haydn Ensemble: 18th Century Unpacked 2 Bohemian Composers in Vienna AHE Quartet & Special Guest Presenter Genevieve Lang
23 July @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm AEST

Join the Australian Haydn Ensemble (AHE) for the second 2026 series of 18th Century Unpacked—our interactive lecture recitals designed to deepen your connection with our mainstage touring programs.
Journey into the vibrant musical world of late 18th-century Vienna as we explore the works of the many Bohemian composers who lived and worked there, and the lasting imprint they left on the city’s musical life.
Presented by a special guest presenter Genevieve Lang and with performances by the renowned AHE Quartet, this captivating event traces the influence of the celebrated Bohemian patron of Haydn and Beethoven, Prince Lobkowicz. Through live performances of excerpts from Haydn, Beethoven, and lesser-known Bohemian masters such as Wranitzky and Mysliveček and more, this hour-long program offers a rare chance to experience the music of the era up close.
Join fellow music lovers for a relaxed and illuminating event in the glorious surrounds of the Friends Room at the State Library of New South Wales.
