Fresh off a 68-concert tour of the United States where he performed to more than 18,000 people, “Classical guitar star” Andrew Blanch returns home to launch Tierra, his new album with ABC Classic.

Featuring repertoire from Blanch’s new Tierra release alongside his USA Spanish Romance programs, the concert features some of the most enduring and popular pieces for the Spanish guitar including Francisco Tarrega’s Recuerdos de la Alhambra, and Isaac Albeniz’ Asturias.

The repertoire, mostly focused around the Spanish and Ibero-American genres, takes you on a journey from the Baroque splendour of Antonio Vivaldi through classical and romantic Spain, and 20th century Latin America.  With lively and informative introductions to each work, this guitar concert, 70 minutes in length, is designed for long-time aficionados and new-comers alike.
