Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA): Elgar’s Cello Concerto and Emma Matthews
18 April @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm AEST

The WAAPA Symphony Orchestra celebrates a new era at ECU City in a concert of extraordinary music featuring two of the world’s most loved works, along with Australia’s most-loved soprano. The divine Emma Matthews AM dazzles in music by Mozart, Claude Debussy’s ravishing Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun is brought to life by ace conductor Jessica Gethin, and Sir Edward Elgar’s legendary Cello Concerto is performed by star student Finlay Labuschagne. You’ll also enjoy the world premiere of Perth City Skylines, a thrilling new work from award-winning student composer Domenic Lamattina, dedicated to Edith Cowan, ECU City, and to WAAPA’s new dawn.
