Bringing together respected Elder Graham Brady and his nephew Jungaji, Professor Chelsea Watego leads the afternoon’s discussion, spanning generations of cultural knowledge and creative expression. Through storytelling and conversation, they share the lived experiences, histories and relationships that continue to shape their artistry. Together, the Bradys will perform some of the music this process has inspired.

A senior Custodian of Western Gu Gu Yalanji culture from Cape York, Graham Brady has dedicated over five decades to the maintenance, teaching and revitalisation of cultural knowledge. A master artefact maker, songman, dancer, choreographer and storyteller, his work reflects a lifetime of cultural leadership and artistic excellence, grounded in the wisdom passed down through his ancestors.

Carrying this legacy forward, Jungaji is a songwriter, visual artist and storyteller whose work bridges ancient songlines with contemporary sound. Blending soul and R&B with deep cultural knowledge, his music speaks to identity, resilience and connection. His award-winning debut album Betting On Blak marks him as a leading voice in a new generation of First Nations artists.
