Walker premieres Tognetti

Internationally renowned flautist Sally Walker is a multiple-prize-winning soloist and orchestral musician, with an extensive repertoire ranging from early music to works composed especially for her.

In between concerto appearances nationally and around the world, she has toured and recorded with the Berlin Philharmonic and Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestras, and has appeared in the London Proms, Salzburg, Lucerne, Tanglewood and Edinburgh Festivals. She joins Festival Co-Director Stefan Cassomenos for the world premiere of Last Flight To Mars by musical powerhouse Richard Tognetti, alongside the warm lyricism of Beach’s Romance, and Prokofiev’s masterwork for flute and piano, the Sonata Op 94, showcasing his unique blend of elegant playfulness and sardonic charm.
