Music at the Basilica: Lest We Forget – Remembrance Day Concert
8 November @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm AEDT

Join us for a moving Remembrance Day concert that reflects on the human cost of war and the enduring power of hope, memory and peace. Through a compelling combination of choral music and poetry, this program brings together works by Elgar, Eleanor Daley, John Taverner, Stephanie Martin, Melissa Dunphy, Dan Forrest and Melbourne composer Roger Heagney. The words of war poets Wilfred Owen, Charlotte Mew and Ivor Gurney provide a poignant thread throughout the performance, offering personal reflections on loss, sacrifice and resilience. In this special commemorative event, music and poetry unite to honour those who served and to remember the lives forever changed by conflict.
