Queensland Symphony Orchestra: Music on Sundays 4: Symphonic Stories
30 August @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm AEST

Enjoy the artistry of Italian-Turkish conductor Nil Venditti in the QSO’s final concert for August, presented by Ed Le Brocq. Copland’s Clarinet Concerto – featuring QSO Section Principal Irit Silver – anchors a program including Bacewicz’s Overture, Gershwin’s Promenade (Walking the Dog; The Real McCoy), Bernstein’s Three Dance Variations from Fancy Free, Mozart’s Turkish March (arr. Pascal), two movements from Tchaikovsky’s Polish Symphony and a world premiere by QSO Compose alumnus Jonathan Platz. Much the same program will be performed two days earlier at Symphony Under the Stars in Cairns.
