: My Brilliant Apocalypse Part I
8 August @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm AEST

After twenty years of development, My Brilliant Apocalypse arrives in Footscray. It’s a funny, fast-paced exploration of what it is exist: within yourself, within the known Universe, or perhaps even within an alternative Universe that lives in someone else’s head!
Themes of self as hero, pawn, sage and spirit all come together as Barry. Possibly the construct of an author’s imagination, or perhaps a real entity, Barry moves through life as both billionaire and beggar, searching for meaning and purpose.
At a time when technology increasingly shapes our perception of truth, My Brilliant Apocalypse asks questions that feel more urgent than ever:
What is real? And what does it mean to live authentically in an uncertain universe?
Originally conceived more than two decades ago, the work has evolved alongside profound cultural and technological change, culminating in this independent Melbourne production.
