Brisbane Festival: Night Moves SHANDY
4 September @ 12:00 am - 4:00 am AEST

A taste of queer mayhem.
When the lights drop and the pulse kicks in, SHANDY takes over Metro Arts with the kind of sweaty, euphoric chaos that only a proper queer dancefloor can deliver. Born in the back rooms and late-night corners of Magandjin’s club scene, this is SHANDY pushed into new territory: an immersive queer fantasia where stage and dancefloor collapse into one.
The room comes alive through driving DJ sets and live performance woven straight into the crowd — dancers, artists, and partygoers moving together in a space that’s thick with heat and release. It’s darker, sweatier, and just a little bit risky — the perfect place to shed the day, follow your instincts, and stay out later than you planned.
SHANDY has built a reputation for parties that feel equal parts hedonistic, tender, and made for the dark.
