Woodward Productions & Neil Gooding Productions: Pride And Prejudice* (*sort of)
13 September @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm AEST

Audiences never seem to tire of Jane Austen’s classic novel, with umpteen adaptations over the years. Now comes a raucous stage production, complete with karaoke, in which five female servants take on all the roles, while offering biting insights. Written by Isobel McArthur, who co-directed the show with Simon Harvey, Pride & Prejudice* (*sort of) includes contemporary hit songs such as You’re So Vain, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow and Smooth Operator, which work a treat. After premiering in Glasgow in 2018, it has arrived here fresh from a West End season. Reviewing it in Melbourne, Limelight described the show as “a remarkable balancing act of irreverence and respect for Austen’s classic”.
