The Anglican Parish of Parkside: Something Old, Something New
30 August @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm AEST

Discover how composers have drawn inspiration from the past. Benjamin Britten’s exhilarating Lachrymae takes inspiration from John Dowland, while Shostakovich’s powerful final work, the Viola Sonata Op. 147, contains echoes of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata.
The program also features Caroline Shaw’s In manas tuas, inspired by Thomas Tallis, and Rebecca Clarke’s hauntingly beautiful Morpheus.
Each concert runs for approximately 60 to 70 minutes, with no interval.
