KABAR-LOUËT Choreographic Ensemble: The Silent Cry of the Flowers
30 August @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm AEST

The Silent Cry of the Flowers makes its Australian premiere at Brisbane’s Thomas Dixon Centre for two performances only on 29 and 30 August 2026.
Travelling from New Caledonia, nine dancers from the KABAR-LOUËT Choreographic Ensemble bring to Brisbane a 90-minute contemporary dance production combining movement, music and projections.
Created by New Caledonian choreographer and former Béjart Ballet Lausanne dancer Sthan Kabar-Louët, the work was inspired by what New Caledonia experienced in 2024. Rather than recounting political events, it explores universal emotions of vulnerability, separation, exile, resilience, hope and renewal.
Following an intensely emotional response from audiences at its Nouméa premiere, the production now crosses the Pacific for its first Australian season, creating a cultural encounter between New Caledonia, France and Australia.
