Welcome to the Australian Art Music playlist! A monthly playlist of classical, jazz, experimental and electronic music focused on contemporary Australian composers, musicians and sound artists.

November is Australian Music Month, and so it comes as no surprise it brings a bounty of incredible new releases! Contemplative works feature, but so too do works of energy and momentum. There’s a richness of jazz works, collaborative pieces and smaller intimate pieces, too.

Once again, I’m taking the tasting platter approach to this playlist, with interesting bites of lots of excellent albums. If anything does take your fancy, do stream the whole album, or, better yet, grab a download from Bandcamp. Many of these albums have so much more variety than I can capture here, but perhaps that’s the take away this Australian Music Month – we’re spoiled with so much talent to explore, and support.
