Philip Noyce has been appointed as the new Head of ABC Classic and ABC Jazz. A cellist, author and music executive, he was Managing Editor at Classic FM in the UK from 2020, after joining the radio station in 2007. ABC Classic celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026. It’s “a fantastic moment” to be joining the broadcaster, says Noyce.

Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra has appointed Angela Loh to the newly created position of Executive Producer. This marks an important step for the company, which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2027, strengthening its ability to innovate and grow. A longstanding member of Camerata’s management team, Loh was previously Managing Producer and spent several months as Interim Executive Director.
Bell Shakespeare has appointed James Evans as its new Executive Director, following the departure of Gill Perkins. Evans has been closely associated with the company for more than a decade, most recently as Associate Director. During his tenure, he has directed national tours, developed education programs and played a leading role in establishing the company’s Youth Justice initiative.
