Create NSW has announced the recipients of Round One of its Arts and Cultural Funding Program. With more than half of its 96 recipients based in regional New South Wales, the $6m program shows support for Aboriginal arts and culture, music, dance, theatre, visual arts and literature.

Classical Music, Opera and Choral

In the fields of classical music, opera and choral music, 11 organisations have received a combined $977,000 in funding.

The Australian Haydn Ensemble has received the largest amount of funding in its category with $146,524, which will be put towards its performances, regional educational programs. It will also be used for its debut US tour and collaborations with Australian Digital Concert Hall and Canberra International Music Festival.

The Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra has received $140,000 in order to expand its regional touring, educational programs and digital expansion initiatives for its 2023 season.
