Omega Ensemble has today announced the four composers selected for its 2025 CoLAB: Composer Accelerator Program.

Cassie To (NSW), Callum O’Reilly (WA), Oliver John Cameron (NSW) and Alexandra Mison (QLD) will undertake a nine-month composition intensive with the ensemble and leading Australian and international composers to write a new work for the ensemble. The work will be premiered at Omega’s annual New Now, held at the Sydney Opera House on 25 September next year.

Mentors for CoLAB have included Carl Vine, Graeme Koehne, Elena Kats-Chernin, Holly Harrison, Nico Muhly, Missy Mazzoli and Christopher Cerrone.

Callum O’Reilly is a Perth-based composer, multi-instrumentalist and multimedia artist whose works have been performed and commissioned by groups including the West Australian, Perth and Willoughby Symphony Orchestras, the Australian Youth Orchestra, Symbios Quartet and Mix’t Trio.
