The Australia Council for the Arts (soon to be Creative Australia) has announced that it will provide $2.8m in funding for domestic tours for Australian artists. With consideration for regional areas and those with a more limited access to arts and culture, the investment is poised to help artists both develop their craft and broaden the scope of their audience.

Aviva Endean’s The Cloud Maker, a collaborative project with Sunny Kim and TE Kahureremoa Taumata exploring varying goddess stories across different cultures, is one of the projects to receive support for touring with the Contemporary Music Touring Program. The project is also the recipient of a 2023 Art Music Fund.

Other funding recipients include Palawa artist Kaytlyn Johnson for a homecoming tour, Accessible Arts for the disability-led comedic work Are You Pulling My Leg?, and Flying Fruit Fly Foundation to present TEMPO to 12 venues across Australia.
