Season Preview: Your guide to the arts in 2023

The Australian Festival of Chamber Music has today announced its full 2023 program.

Led by Artistic Director and British violinist Jack Liebeck for his second year, the program offers three world premiere works from Australian composers William Barton, Deborah Cheetham Fraillon and Joseph Havlat, and two from international composers – British violist and the festival’s 2023 Composer-In-Residence Sally Beamish, and musicologist Stephen Johnson.

The festival will present 34 concerts over 10 days between 28 July – 6 August.

“How time flies! Having immensely enjoyed my first outing as Artistic Director, the AFCM team and I have been  working night and day to build upon the triumphant post-COVID restarting of our beloved Festival,” said Liebeck.
