SeasonPreview: Your guide to the arts in 2025

Canberra Symphony Orchestra (CSO) has unveiled its 2025 season, one that celebrates the narrative power of music across different cultures and epochs while also marking the orchestra’s milestone 75th anniversary.

Under the overarching title Stories, the CSO’s 2025 features seven world premieres, major works by Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Holst, and new compositions from First Nations artists.

2025’s Llewellyn Series, performed on the Llewellyn Hall stage, will showcase the orchestra’s strengths alongside internationally acclaimed special guests in performances of Tchaikovsky’s Sixth Symphony, Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, masterworks by Strauss and Holst, and more in concerts conducted by CSO Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Jessica Cottis and podium guests including Erin Helyard (of Pinchgut Opera) and Carlo Antonioli.

The 2025 season also celebrates the talent of Australian flautist Sally Walker.
