Classical:NEXT, the largest international conference for classical music professionals and innovators, has announced the jury that will select and curate the 2025 program. Following the 2024 edition, it will be held in Berlin from 12–15 May 2025.

The panel comprises of 11 experts across a diverse range of fields in the arts, from performers to directors and entrepreneurs.

Australian oboist and composer Cathy Milliken is included in the jury along with the American violinist Sarah Martin and the Belgian Veerle Simoens – cellist and Artistic Director of Flanders Festival Ghent.

There is a big showing for arts management, notably with Douglas Beck, director of Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall, and Akiko Kono, music programmer at Tokyo’s Suntory Hall. Others include Dorothee Kalbhenn (program director of Konzerthaus Berlin) and the Hungarian music curator Zsuzsanna Szálka.

Also on the jury are: French musicologist and dramaturge Daniele G. Daude; the Georgian theatre and opera director David Sakvarelidze; Adem Honess (Head of Music at SXSW London), and David Taylor, arts entrepreneur and author of The Future of Classical Music.
