Dots+Loops has announced its 2024 Fellowship artists. Its six Performance Fellows are violist Ella Beard, drummer Hayley Chan, saxophonist Courtz Lovell, harpist Paul Nicolaou, vocalist and songwriter Saro Roro and pianist/composer Julia Vlahogiannis. Its two Composition Fellows are Samuel Carrick and Leila Harris.

Under the leadership of violinist and Co-Director Flora Wong and guzheng performer Mindy Meng Wang, the six Performance Fellows will work together towards the premiere for two live sets for Dots+Loops’ NONSTOP 2024 next December. Composition Fellows Carrick and Harris, who have been working with mentors Marike van Dijk, Chris Perren and Connor D’Netto since July, will showcase two new commissions for guitar to be performed by Libby Myers at NONSTOP.

Both Fellowships offer a short in-person residency with the Brisbane-based concert series, which includes mentoring, collaborative opportunities, professional development and workshops.
