For Ensemble Q’s 2024 season, thematic programming is key.

Basing each program around unique, individual concepts, the ensemble will serve up three mainstage concerts in 2024 at QPAC in what is EQ’s third year as Company in Residence.

Ensemble Q also offers an intimate four-part Whisky Bar series, to be hosted at Mrs J Rabbits speakeasy-style bar throughout the year, and will perform a special one-off performance in the West End’s Vacant Assembly.

This year, co-Artistic Director and clarinettist Paul Dean is “absolutely thrilled” to welcome in three new musicians who will join in performance. Violinists Sophie Rowell, Christopher Moore and Emily Granger (recently appointed Principal Harp with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra) will feature throughout the season.

“We are excited to be presenting our three-part QPAC series in reverse mode again. It’s become one of the highlights of my year to be able to talk directly to everyone in the audience and feel such a powerfully positive response,” Dean said.
